Matte PLA is the cost-effective PLA material for end use products which will be used in real world conditions: weather resistance, chemical resistance and the filament has already passed the food safety tests.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- High speed Matte PLA
- Great weather resistance, on par with ASA
- Good chemical resistance for all-purpose cleaner
- Food contact safe *
HIGH SPEED:
- High volumetric flow of up to 24 mm³/s
- Confidently print up to 300 mm/s (hardened nozzle recommended)
- Matte surface finish
WEATHER RESISTANCE:
- Weather resistance on par with ASA
- Indoor/outdoor use (Temperature, Moisture & UV rays)
- 15-45 ℃
HIGH SPEED:
- High volumetric flow of up to 24 mm³/s
- Confidently print up to 300 mm/s (hardened nozzle recommended)
CHEMICAL RESISTANCE:
- Resistant to water
- Highly Resistant to chemicals with a low acidity (≈ pH < 7)
Test Method:
- Immersion temperature: 23±2 °C
- Immersion period: 7 days (period of standard test in ISO 175)
- After L2002 is soaked in the water for 7 days, its tensile strength, tensile modulus, and charpy impact strength are all higher than 75% of the original value.
- L2002 is resistant to the water.
FOOD CONTACT SAFE:
- The material does not deteriorate when it comes into contact with food, therefore, it is food safe as a material * .
- No chemicals will be released in the food, although bacteria might build up in the print itself, but this is not a material issue.
PRINTER SETTINGS:
- Nozzle temperature - 200 – 230 (℃)
- Build surface treatment - Glue, Magigoo
- Build plate temperature - 25- 60 (°C)
- Cooling fan Turned - On
- Printing speed - 60-150 (mm/s)
- Raft separation distance - 0.2 (mm)
- Retraction distance - 1 (mm)
- Retraction speed - 20 (mm/s)
- Recommended environmental temperature - Room temperature - 60 (°C)
- Threshold overhang angle - 60 (°)
- Recommended support material - PolySupport™ and PolyDissolve™ S1
NOTE: The above settings are based on 0.4 mm nozzle and Simplify 3D v.3.1. Printing conditions may vary with different nozzle diameters.
