PolyMide™ PA6-GF is a glass fiber reinforced Nylon 6 filament. The material exhibits excellent thermal and mechanical properties without sacrificing the layer adhesion or printability. PolyMide™ PA6-GF is strong, durable and features a heat deflection temperature of 191°C. It can be used in applications where stiffness and durability are paramount.
WHY SHOULD WE NOT EXCEED 50°„C ON THE BED TEMPERATURE? ISN'T THIS TOO LOW FOR ALL OTHER CARBON NYLON FILAMENTS?
Our revolutionary Warp-Free technology has been developed to overcome the barriers of printing difficulties and enhance dimensional stability for Nylon based products. With this innovative solution, our nylon products can be printed at lower bed temperatures without experiencing warpage issues. To maintain the integrity of the Warp-Free technology and prevent warpage, it is advised not to exceed a temperature of 50°Ê when using PolyMide™ PA6-CF. Higher temperatures can invalidate the Warp-Free technology and accelerate the crystallization speed of polyamide polymers, resulting in potential warping issues. In comparison to competitive products, our filaments exhibit superior dimensional stability, providing an exceptional printing experience.
RECOMMENDED PRINTING CONDITIONS:
- Nozzle temperature - 280 - 300 (°C)
- Build Surface - Material Glass, Garolite, Magigoo PA
- Build surface treatment - Applying PVA glue to the build surface
- Build plate temperature - 25 - 50 (°C)
- Cooling fan Turned - Off
- Printing speed - 60 (mm/s)
- Raft separation distance - 0.1 - 0.2 (mm)
- Retraction distance - 3 - 6 (mm)
- Retraction speed - 40 - 60 (mm/s)
- Recommended environmental temperature - 25 - 50 (°C)
- Threshold overhang angle - 45 (°)
- Recommended support material - PolyDissolve™ S1
Based on 0.4 mm nozzle and Simplify 3D v.3.1. Printing conditions may vary with different nozzle diameters.
Note:
- Abrasion of the copper nozzle happens quite often when printing PolyMide™ PA6-GF. Normally, the life of a copper nozzle
- would be approximately 9h. A wear-resistance nozzle, such as hardened steel and ruby nozzle, is highly recommended to be used with PolyMide™ PA6-GF.
- PolyMide™ PA6-GF is sensitive to moisture and should always be stored and used under dry conditions (relative humidity below 20%).
- If PolyMide™ PA6-GF is used as the support material for itself, please remove the support structure before excessive moisture absorption. Otherwise, the support structure can be permanently bonded to the model.
- After the printing process, it is recommended to anneal the model in the oven at 80 - 100°C for 1 - 3 hours.
