Creality Hyper PLA-CF: High-Flow Structural Filament
Engineered for the next generation of high-speed additive manufacturing, Creality Hyper PLA-CF combines a high-fluidity PLA base with premium chopped carbon fibers. The result is a material that supports volumetric flow rates required for 600mm/s printing while offering a significant boost in stiffness and dimensional accuracy.
Key Features:
- Ultra-High Fluidity: Optimized for high-speed extruders, the material melts and bonds quickly to ensure consistent extrusion without under-flow, even during rapid accelerations.
- Enhanced Rigidity: The carbon fiber reinforcement significantly increases the Young's Modulus, making parts stiffer and less prone to bending under load compared to standard PLA.
- Superior Dimensional Stability: Carbon fiber acts as a stabilizer during the cooling process, minimizing thermal shrinkage and preventing corner lift or warping on larger functional prints.
- Aesthetic Layer Masking: The matte, micro-textured surface finish naturally diffuses light, making layer lines virtually invisible and providing a high-end industrial appearance.
Physical & Thermal Properties:
- Filament Diameter: 1.75 mm (± 0.03 mm tolerance)
- Material Density: 1.21 g/cm³
- Net Weight: 1.0 kg (2.2 lbs)
- Carbon Fiber Content: ~4% (Chopped reinforcement)
- Melt Flow Index: 5.37 g/10 min (Tested at 190°C, 2.16 kg)
- Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT): Up to 91°C (Note: Achieving peak HDT often requires specific post-processing or high-crystallinity print settings).
Mechanical Performance (X-Y Axis):
- Tensile Strength: 39 MPa
- Bending (Flexural) Strength: 103 MPa
- Bending (Flexural) Modulus: 5003 MPa
- Charpy Impact Strength: 5.08 kJ/m²
- Elongation at Break: 4.27%
Hardware Requirements:
- Hardened Steel Nozzle: Mandatory. Carbon fiber is highly abrasive; a standard brass nozzle will be ruined within a few hours of printing.
- Nozzle Diameter: 0.4 mm is standard, but a 0.6 mm nozzle is recommended to further reduce the risk of fiber-clumping clogs and to increase print speed.
- Build Surface: Works best on PEI (textured or smooth), PC Spring Steel, or Glass with a thin layer of adhesive.
