Get the best of both worlds with a dual-surface spring steel build plate featuring Textured PEI on one side and Smooth PEI on the other. Switch effortlessly between a matte, textured base for hiding layer lines and a glass-smooth finish for mirror-like bottom surfaces. High-adhesion coatings ensure your prints stay locked down during printing and pop off easily once cooled.

COMPATIBLE FILAMENTS

  • PLA & PLA-CF: Excellent adhesion direct to bed on both sides without glue stick.

  • PETG & PETG-CF: Holds strong while printing; releases easily once the plate cools down.

  • ABS & ASA: Great warp resistance at elevated bed temperatures up to 120°C.

  • TPU / Flexibles: Prints directly onto the textured side; use glue stick on the smooth side as a release agent to prevent tearing.

  • Nylon (PA) & PC: Compatible with appropriate bed temperatures and enclosed environments.

  • Material: Powder-Coated Textured PEI + Smooth PEI Film on Spring Steel Sheet

MAINTENANCE

  • Routine Cleaning: Wipe down with 90%+ Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) and a lint-free microfiber cloth between prints to remove light surface dust.

  • Deep Cleaning: Periodically wash with warm water and standard grease-cutting dish soap (like Dawn) using a soft sponge to strip skin oils that IPA leaves behind.

  • Prohibited Cleaners: Avoid using acetone, harsh solvents, or abrasive scouring pads, as they will permanently damage the PEI coatings.

PRO TIP:

When printing PETG or TPU on the Smooth PEI side, always apply a thin layer of glue stick or liquid release agent—Smooth PEI bonds extremely aggressively to these plastics and can rip off the surface film if removed dry.
