Fiberon ASA-CF08

Fiberon™ ASA-CF08, developed by Polymaker, is a high-performance 3D printing filament designed for demanding applications. It is an acrylonitrile styrene acrylate (ASA) material, which is inherently known for its exceptional UV and weather resistance, making it a robust choice for outdoor-grade parts. The filament is further enhanced with 8% carbon fiber reinforcement, which significantly boosts its mechanical properties. This carbon fiber addition contributes to superior rigidity and dimensional stability, resulting in printed parts that are strong and accurate. The material also leaves a lightweight, matte finish, which is ideal for both functional and aesthetic purposes.

Printing Settings:

• Printing Temperature: A nozzle temperature of 260–280 °C is recommended. This high temperature is necessary to properly melt the ASA-CF08 for smooth extrusion and strong layer adhesion.
• Bed Temperature: The recommended bed temperature is 90-100 °C. Maintaining a high bed temperature is crucial for ensuring the first layer adheres correctly and for minimizing the risk of warping.
• Printing Speed: The advised printing speed is up to 350 mm/s.
• Cooling Fan: The recommended setting for the cooling fan is to turn it OFF. For overhangs or bridges, a very low fan speed (5-10%) may be used, but generally, it's best to keep cooling to a minimum to avoid layer adhesion issues and cracking.
• Enclosure: Using an enclosed printer is highly recommended. While the carbon fiber helps to reduce warpage, the ASA material has a high glass transition temperature (Tg). Rapid cooling from ambient air can cause internal stresses to build up, which could lead to cracking, especially on taller or larger objects. An enclosure helps to maintain a stable, warm environment around the print, mitigating this risk.
• Nozzle Compatibility: A wear-resistant nozzle, such as one made from hardened steel or ruby, is required. The carbon fibers within the filament are abrasive and will cause significant wear on standard brass nozzles over time, leading to poor print quality. 

Note: 

• Fiberon™ ASA-CF08 is sensitive to moisture and should always be stored and used under dry conditions (relative humidity below 20%).
• Fiberon™ ASA-CF08 may release odors during printing. Please place the printer in a well-ventilated area, and an enclosed printer is recommended for printing.
• After printing it is recommended to wait for the parts to cool naturally before removing them.
• Fiberon™ ASA-CF08 contains 8% carbon fiber as reinforcement, the filament itself is easy to be brittle, please make sure that bending diamemeter is more than 60mm when using it.
